A queer scented cinema experience through the cult classic film Hairspray (1988)
Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for a brand new sensory and interactive screening of the John Waters 1988 cult classic, Hairspray!
Presented by Brimbank City Council in collaboration with Snivure and Scented Storytelling, this scented screening will leave your noses and eyes having the best time of your life!
Jas Brooks (Snivure) and Tammy Burnstock (Scented Storytelling) are seasoned collaborators with a shared enthusiasm for the power of scent in cinema. Together, they boast an impressive portfolio of co-produced scent-infused projects, most recently a weekend of Whiff and Wonder at Cinema NOVA, Melbourne. Beyond their creative work, Jas and Tammy's collaboration extends to the preservation of the last known Smell-O-Vision! system from 1960, further underscoring their dedication to the legacy and future of scented cinema.
