Come see the Queens of Melbourne slay in fantastical portraits by MJ Bentley
Find The Queens is part of MJ’s ongoing photography series Queens on drag that is both a defence of the art form of drag and a fantastical look into the worlds of drag queens. A response to those who may protest a drag festival or nay-say a queen reading a book at story-time.
Featuring Rupaul’s Drag Race’s Aubrey Haive, Bettie Rosé, Deja, Dettol, Gloss, Jimi The Kween, Jens Radda, Nefertiti, Randy Roy, Valencia, and more!
Slay the day on a scavenger hunt for 15x Queens at 40+ Melbourne locations from Coburg to St Kilda.
Hint: Look at locations where you often see large paste-up posters advertising bands and shows.
Find all 15x Queens and win a prize! To win, take a selfie with each portrait, and:
- Send your selfies to [email protected]
- Message: @mj__images on Instagram for scavenger hunt hints and clues!
- Tag @mj__images for photo reshares
