Image: by Garry Oliver
Walking is great exercise!
An interesting ramble to explore little known paths along the Yarra River in Melbourne's inner east and north.
The environs along the inner east and north of the Yarra River have undergone multiple regenerations since European settlement. This one-way walk from Hawthorn to Abbotsford, on unsealed and sealed paths, demonstrates past and current associations with the River. BYO water bottle, snacks and lunch. Wear a hat, sunscreen and closed footwear. Many public transport options are available. Registration is essential.
The NOMADS Outdoors Group offers a safe space for outdoor events plus regular social outings for the LGBTQIA+ community together with their family and supporters.
