Glamdrogyny. Desire. Resistance.Presented by The 86 and Glitterfist Productions
Summoned into this world by the power of fierce femmes, gender rebels, trans-formers and beautiful queerdos, drag deity Glitterfist is on a mission to absolve shame, inspire worship and spread the gospel of pleasure, freedom and filth. Glitterfist and fellow divine non-binary babes Jessica McKerlie (Gender Spanner) and Six Inches Uncut (TAINT Cabaret) will seduce you with a surreal drag-burlesque tale of exploration and fantasy. Arrive curious and you will leave converted...
Dive into Glitterfist's hedonistic origins as they search for connection, get lost in desire, smacked hard with reality and discover a thirst for resistance. Glitterfist's imaginative storytelling creates a vibrant, sacred world that celebrates diverse genders and sexualities and playfully encourages audiences to join Glitterfist and worship themselves. Surrender to glamdrogynous seduction and find your own divinity in the cheekiest, filthiest ways imaginable.
Glitterfist: Libertine is written and directed by Bree Zilla, the genderqueer performance art shapeshifter behind Glitterfist, Ziggy Discoballs and Little Skink. They have spread gender-bending smut and glitter across numerous shows, including Taylor Mac's 24-Decade History of Popular Music, Gaytimes Festival, Australian Burlesque Festival, Oz Kink Fest, MAX FREAK, and Honcho Disko.
The queer A-Team behind Glitterfist: Libertine includes co-producer powerhouse Sarah X Spandex, aka Rex Spandex, co-writer and star of the successful Melbourne Fringe show Planet of the Kings; cabaret deviant and punk poet Six Inches Uncut, producer and host of TAINT; creator of label-defying cabaret Gender Spanner Jessica McKerlie; and electronic music composer and producer Toyah Hoetzel.
