First Nations Pride

Decolonising sex and gender in conversation
Presented by Midsumma Festival in association with Incinerator Gallery

Join Midsumma and curator of Black Magic exhibition, Maddee Clark, in conversation with Laniyuk Garcon (featured Colouring the Rainbow author), Mark Nannup (Vic NAIDOC, Midsumma Indigenous Engagement Coordinator) and Black Magic artists in a vital talks event unpacking the effects of colonisation on Indigenous bodies and sexualities.

Responding to themes of resistance, stigmatisation and decolonisation present in Black Magic, this forward-focused discussion foregrounds First Nations voices on the topic of First Nations bodies.

Free event but booking required.
