Theatre Works is a theatre company located in the heart of St. Kilda, Melbourne. For Midsumma Festival 2018, Theatre Works will be accepting Expressions of Interest from all performance genres and events (including sports). Theatre Works provides the venue, a fun environment for a drink and hanging out, as well as ticketing, a standard lighting rig, FOH staff and website/social media support. Theatre Works will take a percentage of box office to cover expenses. Event producers provide the show, their own marketing/publicity grist and a fee to cover tech, FOH labour and utilities.

The Owl & Cat Theatre, 31 Swan Street, Richmond
The Owl & Cat began its life as an art gallery, which it exclusively remained for one year, before branching out to better accommodate for theatre and music in its second year with the inclusion of a small theatre upstairs and a bar out the back. Since then the theatre has taken over and has reluctantly abandoned the visual arts routes in favor of concentrating more wholly on the performing arts. The theatre seats around 40-65 people (depending on layout and playing area).

The Thornbury Theatre, 859 High St, Thornbury
The Thornbury Theatre started life as the Regent Theatre in 1923 and presents live shows - a truly majestic venue capable of hosting a range of fully catered events, having two rooms with stage, PA and lighting. Comprising a domed entrance hall with marble staircase and a first floor lounge bar leading into the main ballroom featuring 7m ceilings with chandeliers, the Ballroom holds up to 700 people and can be configured in a variety of ways, with seating or standing options available. The Velvet Room is a smaller room holding from 100-300 people depending on the setup, Thornbury is a centre for LGBT people and have had many successful events for LGBT performers.
