Thank you to everyone who helped make Midsumma Festival 2025 such a huge success. The numbers are still being crunched, and we'll share the detailed statistics once all our external research is in, but we can already declare that the quality of the 2025 program was the highest ever! Also, at a time when social cohesion is sorely lacking, and disruptive forces are impacting everybody right across the globe, it has never been more important for our diverse communities to come together and celebrate everything that unites and strengthens us, while defying those forces that are trying to push us back into the closet.
The vibe across the festival has been excellent. Thank you to the thousands of people who worked so hard to produce so many high-quality events, to the actors and presenters who took to the stages, venues who welcomed us and our communities into their spaces so warmly, those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring it all together, to the hundreds of volunteers without whom the festival simply couldn't happen, and the audiences who came out in force despite the challenges of extreme heat at times and their financial constraints.
