Midsumma Patrons

Some things in life we take for granted; the freedom to be who we are, and to be celebrated. For some people in our community life is not always easy. Discrimination, rejection and isolation affects members of all ages and backgrounds within GLBTI Melbourne. Midsumma is a festival that celebrates difference and fosters acceptance. We play a vital role in building stronger communities and allowing people to experience new ideas, social and sporting events and feel part of something special.

Midsumma has one full time employee and is made possible by almost 200 volunteers. The festival, especially Carnival, is expensive to run - and we need your help to keep it going! As a patron of the Festival, you assist in helping Midsumma to continue celebrating queer arts and culture for years to come. This means we can assist emerging talent and artists, and support community initiatives whilst presenting professional and engaging performances.
